Nadja's story:
A Short Bio

Nađa Lapčević was born on January 21st, 1995 in Užice, Serbia. Since high school, she was involved in film workshops organized within her local community, most notably with the Independent Film Center Filmart, an educational organisation operating in Western Serbia.

Since 2011, she has been a part of the guest service and management of several national film festivals, including FEST, Free Zone Film Festival, and Kustendorf Film and Music Film Festival. She became an employee of Filmart in 2013, working as a documentary film camp Interaction and master-class Interdoc as a coordinator managing international groups from over 40 countries worldwide.

After graduating from high school in 2014, she continued her education, majoring in Film and Television production at The Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. During her studies, she produced several short films, including The Room of Death (2016), a thriller based on a short story by Steven King, which was extremely well received at film festivals internationally.

In addition to the projects she has realized as a part of her studies, she was employed as a line producer on a feature documentary film Celestial Theme, directed by Mladen Matičević, which premiered in May 2019.

Apart from film production, she also worked as a sales, promotion, and distribution coordinator for two short films - The Same directed by Dejan Petrovic which premiered at IDFA 2017, and Money Honey by Isaac Knights-Washbourn which premiered at Berlinale 2020.
