Ashley's story

As a creative editor, I’m a strong problem solver, often thinking outside the box to bring an idea to life. I am very organised and I am passionate about projects that allow a story to be told creatively. I bring experience from editing film, TV & online content and aim to deliver a project with passion and flair.

I have thorough knowledge of using Premier Pro and Final Cut Pro with some experience of After Effects and Avid. In the last couple of years I started learning digital animation, creating an award winning, digitally animated short film, and receiving several commissions to create digital animation and motion graphics for companies and projects.

I recently finished editing two 14 min docs for BBC Scotland, The Conscious Closet and Spilling the Black Tea, due to be aired in April/May 2022.

In early 2022 I was also assistant editor on a feature indie drama, Life of Tai.

I created the welcome video for POWA Scotland's website, bringing their story and purpose to life in animation.

I also spend 4 months editing online videos in my role at BBC The Social, often creating animation and motion graphics to lift the content and help it grab the attention of social media scrollers.
