Charlotte's story
I was born in Edinburgh and grew up not far away in North Berwick. From here, I have worked across the world, with international teams and in extreme conditions, to deliver creative projects whatever the challenges.
I set up my company Hailstone Films in 2018, and through that, I worked on Victor Kossakovsky’s Gunda. I was responsible for finding all the UK stories and characters (including Peggy, the legendary one-legged chicken), and running the shoots. It was shortlisted for the 93rd Academy Awards.
Previously, I was assistant producer for Kossakovsky’s Aquarela, working with Aconite Productions. It was shortlisted for the 92nd Academy Awards. I love a challenge and undertook shoots in Greenland, an active disaster zone, the Venezuelan jungle, and sailing across the Atlantic Ocean on a boat.
I have a documentary feature in development, produced one of 2020's Bridging the Gap films, Racing Stock, and am producing another this year with director Laura Wadha, Born in Damascus.
I have extensive experience production managing commercial shoots, and worked in the Producer’s office on Sony/Starz’s hit show Outlander, and on drama features and factual television. I have a First Class (Hons) degree in English Literature from the University of St Andrews.
