Hollie's story

I have worked on various prime-time series across a range of factual genres and I am often brought in to work on first series, fast turnarounds and manage teams. I have a track record of negotiating sensitive access to large institutions and key individuals, as well as casting new presenter talent and engaging contributors. On location, I am highly experienced in story producing and directing crew.

I trained and worked as a journalist - working for regional and national newspapers and then briefly in regional radio news before moving to TV.

Responsibilities in: scripting, single camera and multi-cam directing, film scheduling edit scheduling, and working with talent.

I care immensely about the wellbeing of crew and contributors because I've watched the industry burn through so many talented people (particularly aspiring women) and let down contributors who've given their trust to production. I believe in supporting and lifting up all members of the team and providing opportunities wherever possible for colleagues to pursue what they're passionate about in TV; whether that be in helping to generate format beats and episode structure, or picking up experience of managing sound or shooting. I think as an industry we're very quick look for the next new talent without properly investing in and developing the talent this industry boasts - particularly in women.
