Marie was raised in Colorado, but has spent ample time across the United States, including her undergraduate studies, where she received a B.A.C in Public Relations from the University of Alabama. She's studied in Berlin, and has B1 proficiency in German (but she's working on it), worked in Washington D.C. for a women's startup Art & Publishing House, and helped coordinate the inaugural DC/DOX Film Festival in 2023. She has also assisted in screening feature length documentaries for the Brooklyn International Film Festival in 2024. Marie is now a freelance filmmaker based in Glasgow, and frequently returning to Edinburgh. She hopes to expand her work in the field to include assistant producing, and to continue screening, programming and coordinating film festivals.
